Graduated from the RVC in 1997 and, after a period in mixed practice in Wales, started a 3 year residency in Equine internal medicine at Liverpool University in 1999. Rachel passed the RCVS certificate in Equine Internal Medicine in 2001 and then from 2002 to 2008 worked in 100% equine practices in Buckinghamshire, Gloucestershire and Yorkshire. In 2007 she passed the European Diploma in Equine Internal Medicine and is currently completing the publishing requirements. She set up her own mobile equine internal medicine business in 2008, with the aim of providing the North East of England with a referral level service.
The equipment includes 1.5m and 3m EV videoendoscopes, mobile ultrasound MyLab scanner with cardiac package and Kruuse ECG monitor suitable for resting, exercising and holter monitor recordings. Rachael has particular interest in gastric ulceration and the investigation of weight loss.
