Alnorthumbria Veterinary Practice scoop top Industry Award in London

Alnorthumbria Veterinary Practice scoop top Industry Award in London

This month the Alnorthumbria Veterinary Group are delighted to announce an award winning performance at this years OvertheCounter Awards. Over the Counter is a national magazine for animal health advisers, and Alnorthumbria were awarded its ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ for its ‘Face of Alnorthumbria Pets’ campaign. The campaign offered pet owners a professional photographic portrait of their pet for a donation of £1, with all proceeds going to local animal charities. The campaign also awarded prizes to the best portraits, as judged by representatives of the local charities, who benefitted in total by over £800.

The 2014 OvertheCounterAwards showcased individuals and companies working in the field of Animal Health, from country stores to vet practices, tack rooms to pet stores, all with one theme in common - going the extra mile for their customers. The award ceremony and dinner took place on Wednesday 22nd October in the heart of London at the 5* Café Royal Hotel, home to a three star Michelin Chef, and hotel of choice for a plethora of celebrities and Royals. The awards attracted entries from all over the UK with categories such as Training Initiative of the Year, Customer Care Award, Trade Supplier of the Year and many more.

The Alnorthumbria Veterinary Group competed in one of the newest category additions, ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ with the ‘Face of Alnorthumbria Pets’ taking centre stage in their portfolio.

The OvertheCounter Judges commented on the entry;

“The judges saw this campaign as a clear winner, and an excellent example of creativity and innovation at its best. The tactics and aims were incredibly clear, and the success of the campaign was very impressive, where it has generated some remarkable results. They have embraced social media and the internet, which has helped to encourage customer relationships in the local community, which can therefore be continued in the future.

Rebecca Ashworth, who attended the event for Alnorthumbria Vets commented on the awards ceremony:

“I’m overwhelmed that our campaign has received national recognition, it was great to represent Northumberland against some pretty big competition and country wide companies. I now have a very lovely (and very heavy) glass trophy on my desk.”

The winners will be featured in the next four editions of OvertheCounter magazine, where you can read all about the animal health businesses that won awards this year.
