Veterinary Practice in shortlist for top Industry Award

Veterinary Practice in shortlist for top Industry Award

This month the Alnorthumbria Veterinary group are pleased to announce a place in the shortlist for a top industry award. The 2014 OvertheCounterAwards will showcase individuals and companies from country stores to vet practices, tack rooms to pet stores, all with one theme in common - going the extra mile for their customers.

The award ceremony will take place on Wednesday 22nd October in the heart of London at the 5* Café Royal Hotel. The awards call upon entries from all over the UK with categories such as Training Initiative of the Year, Customer Care Award, Trade Supplier of the Year and many more.

The Alnorthumbria Veterinary Group will be competing in one of the newest category additions, ‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ with the ‘Face of Alnorthumbria Pets’ taking centre stage in their portfolio.

Rebecca Ashworth, who is attending the event for Alnorthumbria Vets commented on the entry:

“I’m extremely excited that our marketing campaign has been shortlisted. The search to find ‘The Face of Alnorthumbria Pets’ is a first for us, and this year was our first year up and running.  With over 300 entries and nearly £1000 raised for local animal charities, it demonstrated everything the judges were looking for. It’s going to be great to represent our corner of Northumberland against some pretty big competition and country wide companies.”

Paul Freeman, Small Animal Director of Alnorthumbria Vets, commented:

“The ‘Face of Alnorthumbria Pets’ has proved very popular, with owners donating £1 for a professional photographic portrait of their pet. The entries are being judged by representatives of local animal charities, who benefit from all the funds raised. Prizes have been generously donated for the winners, whose photos will be displayed on the practice Facebook page and website. The campaign has generated a lot of interest, and we are delighted that it has been recognised by nomination for this prestigious award”
